The coveted neighborhood of East Arlington is generally considered to be the area north or Rte. 2, east of Spy Pond, south of Mass Ave., and west of Alewife Brook Parkway. Many of the homes in East Arlington were built in the 1920's, they include smaller single family starter or retirement homes, large two family investment property, converted condominiums, and single family colonial homes. Properties in East Arlington are generally very well maintained with pride of ownership obvious throughout the neighborhood. Residents of the neighborhood make good use of the proximity of both Arlington Center, and the Alewife (Red Line) T Station.
